Approvals: Spencer Institute 1.5 CEUs, NESTA 1.5 CEUs

Designation: Upon successful completion, you will hold the title of Certified Corporate Wellness Coach (CCWC).

Prerequisites: None

Course Description: This comprehensive, self-paced professional certification program enables the student to become qualified to manage health promotions and corporate wellness programs.

Study Format: Distance learning, self-paced program using a textbook, CD-Rom manual/course outline & numerous audio lessons. Open entry, enroll at any time. The program requires approximately 20 - 30 hours of study.

Program Details: Comprehensive course including corporate wellness and health promotion concepts, motivational strategies, scope of practice, health care cost reduction strategies, legal responsibilities and limitations in the workplace, list of assessment tools and techniques and business models for wellness coaching. This course will provide the experienced fitness, wellness, psychology, human resources or coaching professional with all the needed tools to facilitate effective corporate wellness and health promotion program.

Testing: Comprehensive multiple choice exam is taken at home and mailed to the Spencer Institute offices for grading and approval.

Details about your project: Comprehensive analysis of an existing corporate wellness program. The analysis should include an outline, followed by a step-by-step analysis of the program. This project can be completed at a distance, or while the student is gainfully employed or serving an internship. The methods of research may include phone interviews, internet searches, event analysis, review of collateral materials, or any combination of the above. Current employment in corporate wellness or health promotion is not needed to complete this project.

Intended For: Individuals who have a health, fitness, medical, education, nutrition, coaching wellness or human resources background, and desire to expand their career options within the corporate wellness & health promotion industry.
